A new study in sun & Skin News confirms scientists suspicions that sun exposures causes the vast majority of malignant melanomas, the most deadly type of skin cancer. The researchers speculate that two out of three cases could be prevented by protecting children from the sun during their first fifth teen years , when their most vulnerable. That most parents don't put sunscreen on their kids. That's unfortunate.A second study reported in the Archives of dermatology confirms that regular use of sunscreen--in children or adults can greatly reduce the risk of precancerous skin lesions.
